Way back in the late 70’s Pastor Playz was planted and germinated when my dad purchased an Atari 2600 game console. Of course we did not call it a console back then but I want to be hip. That is when I, Mike Norton, was bitten by the gaming and technology bug.

In the mid 80’s I felt the call of the Lord on my life to do something besides sit in a pew. In the late 80’s I met the one person who God had been preparing for me to spend the rest of my life together in ministry, my wife Tanya.

So, you are still wondering what this blog is about aren’t you? Well, it’s about a journey. My journey as one of Gods creations trying to not only tie tech into my daily life but using it to serve him. In 2007 I celebrate my 10th year in full-time ministry.

Along the way God has given me great opportunities to join him where he was. We have had web sites, gaming clans for FPS’s, guilds for MMO’s, podcasts to gamers; created a podcast network; consider forming a gaming company, then woke up *smile*; and have spent days and days with people online, strangers at first, friends shortly after.

Are you going to come away from this blog with some earth breaking new revolutionary idea? Maybe, but maybe not. What I have to offer to you, my new friends, is one guy’s heart for the Lord, his creation, and technology.
